Attorney Profile

Attorney Glen Hannington is a retired Assistant Clerk-Magistrate from the Boston Municipal Court.  He was employed by the Massachusetts Trial Court for (25) twenty-five years before leaving the court system in 1997.  Attorney Hannington is a regular guest lecturer at local schools as well as the New England School of Law where he received his law degree.  

Attorney Hannington has forty (40) years of trial court experience.  Glen is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, United States District Court, United States District Court of Appeals, and also admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States.  Attorney Hannington has been involved in many high profile cases including but not limited to saving the "Peanut Vendors" when the Boston Red Sox tried to eliminate the vendors from Fenway Park in 1998.  As a result of his representation, the vendors now remain a fixture at Fenway Park.  

Attorney Hannington also took on the Archdiocese of Boston for the parents of the now defunct St. Peter school in South Boston.  As a result of his representation, the newly formed St. Peter Academy was able to recover monies as part of damages against the Archdiocese.  When a group of local senior citizens were told that "Bingo" was being eliminated, Attorney Hannington filed suit in Norfolk Superior Court and days later the governing agency re-instituted "Bingo".

Attorney Hannington served nine years on the Canton School Committee and is at present an elected commissioner on the Canton Housing Authority.  He is also a Justice of the Peace and notary public, a member of the Association of Clerk Magistrates, and a board member for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League, Canton Lions, Sons of the American Legion, and he enjoys boating, fishing and golfing.
